Re: the dummy issue with Hannah, Have you tried waking just before 5am or before she wakes and giving her a dream time feed? she might just need topping up and maybe then she will go straight back to sleep and you can also get another couple of hours for yourself.

Or you can try a dream-time feed to top her up just before you go to bed yourself and then hopefully neither of you will wake up at 5am. Dunno if thats any help to you.

Kate - the instant I put the dummy in she goes back to sleep until I wake her at 7am. I used to give her a dream feed but then she didnt have her breakfast feed, so obviously wasnt needing it anymore. I think she is just coming into a light sleep (and her room is starting to get lighter at that time) and she thinks its time to get up for the day. Am hoping that she will eventually learn to resettle herself. I am probably not helping by going in and giving the dummy tho!!

Yea i find Xanda is waking at about 6 each morning and when i get him up then it is just starting to become really light, he used to sleep til 8am.Now it doesn't matter if he has a feed at 5 he'll still be awake at 6. Kind of annoying, but since i up at that time i just do all the chores for the day and then i can sleep in the afternoon which wld be alrite is it wasn't so fricking hot.
