Topic: plunket? Posted: 27 July 2006 at 10:24pm |
hi
I have plunket coming around to see me and my wee man tomorrow at 1pm we have never seen or meet a plunket lady before.
Just a quick question. What do they talk to me about etc and do they want to see my baby? if so should i leave him up so she can see him or should we just wake him up when she gets here?
Thanks

They will ask you how your doing, how hes sleeping eating etc if you have any worrys or concerns. I have found plunket Great! hope your one is as nice as mine As for Jake you can do either way, personally if he is tired let him sleep untill she arrives, and then when she arrives just tell her he is asleep and does she need to see him... Bailey was asleep the very first visit and she just left him, she weighed him and that the next time around
Good Luck

Same for me, if either of the boys were asleep, she'd leave them until next time.
My plunket lady just asked me if we had any qs, and measured and weighed him.

We have plunket coming round next week to. With Kobe she just asked all the same questions and your midwife does and also answers any questions you have. While your midwife is focused on you and baby plunket is pretty much all baby and making sure htey are healthy and developing as they should be. Kobe used ot be weighed and measured each time so it is easier if they are awake but if they are asleep then to bad hopeuflly your plunket lady wont disturb him. Plunket in chch are also good for a place ot meet other mothers as they often have meetings in thier plunket rooms you can go to. Do you know which area plunket you belong to?

I guess it depends on the Plunket nurse as the one who came to see me asked more about how I was doing, rather than Ella.. she was really nice

ooh that reminds me ihave to book the girls in for their checks. It's great... Ayja's 15 month one co-incides with Paris's 3 yr old one. lol.... was good cos Ayja's 6wk one was due the same time as Paris's 2 yr old one. I knew i picked that age gap for a reason
