I also like Paullina Simons but have only read the Bronze Horseman. Keen to read the next book in the series coz apparently he's not dead!

I've read all three books and really enjoyed them!! The other two aren't as good as the first though but I still couldn't put them down! And no, he's not dead
I'll try and join in - I love reading and PB (pre-baby) read heaps but I'm embarrassed to say I haven't read one book since Ashleigh came home from hospital!! My mother lent me a book at the weekend - a Cathy Kelly book called Just Between Us so may have to get back into it. Oh and I have read The Di Vinci Code and I didn't really enjoy it at all I'm not at all religious and religion doesn't interest me so I found it all a bit much

I have read all of Paulina Simon's books. 11 Hours is a great book, but another not to read while pregnant. Robyn I found it a quick and easy read.

Here's a random idea. How bout we all write a review on a book we have recently read, and if you have a copy of your own, swap it with another member who has their own copy of a book you would like to read?

Ok Im going to suggest this one. Its #11in Whitcoulls top 100. I read it years and years ago and its also being or going to be made into a movie.
Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden
"Summoning up more than 20 years of Japan's most dramatic history, the geisha's story uncovers a hidden world of eroticism and enchantment, exploitation and degradation. It moves from a small fishing village in 1929 to the glamorous and decadent Kyoto of the 30s and on to postwar New York"
Basically just chose that one to get us going but if no one is keen then Im happy to go with Annies idea. Either way lets make a decision

I bought that book when preggers with Jake, and haven't read it yet.
Further to my idea, if you don;t have a copy of the book yu are reviewing, well, thats no worries, as we could just choose to get itout from library or whatever to read. I have millions of books, and am happy to lend on the "boomerang policy"...
Emma, you're the boss, so you tell us what to do?

I've read "memoirs" and perhaps have a copy somewhere. I must admit finding it tough going in the first few chapters, but then loved it. When we were in Kyoto I made Lewis take me to a lot of the sites and we saw REAL geishas!!!

I'm happy to read "Memoirs", I'll go to the library today and see if they've got a copy... not holding my breath though. I seriously think my high school library had a better selection and range than the Ohakune Public Library. It certainly had more books!
