Hi all,

This question is mainly aimed at mums in Wellington.

Can anyone recommend a good cranial osteopath in Wellington (and also the cost per consultation).

The reason why I am asking is due to Lucian's behaviour before he feeds. He was born via elective c-section, but the surgeon had to use forceps to get his head out of my pelvis, as he was fully engaged for nearly a month. I think this has caused his him some trauma.

He has the tendency to get into "panic attacks", especially before he feeds. He seems to skip the display of early feeding cues, and goes straight to late feeding cues. It is becoming distressing for both DH and I, and also quite draining.

I think a couple of sessions with an osteopath trained to do cranial osteopathy is the way to help rectify the problem.

TIA

City Osteopaths on Featherston Street are good - I have taken both my girls to them.

i think it is about $60?? (can't remember sorry) They are very nice and treat a lot of babies and children there. I hope that they (or another osteo can help your little boy.

Yep, City Osteopaths are the ones to see. My favourite Osteo has just left unfortunately.

For initial visit it is $80, after that it's $65 per visit.

Thanks for the info :-)

Not as expensive as I initially thought. I shall be calling on Monday to see if they see Lucian sometime during the week.

I would never have thought that a baby at his age could get so anxious and have panic attacks. I have ruled out his reflux, and it definitely isn't colic.

So I though seeing an osteopath who specialises in cranial osteopathy will help, as I have heard so many good things about it from people.
