When your little one is not 100% can their sleeping at night really change so dramatically?

Before Lachlan came down with this diarrheoa bug we were getting anywhere from 8 hours to all through the night now we seem to be getting just under 5 hours and its driving me nuts is this normal?

Any advice guys?

Seem's quite normal when they have been unwell ALan still does that now. Sorry no advice just maybe give him cuddles etc. Don't give him a feed or anything tho unless you think he really needs it otherwise it will become a habbit for him.
Sorry jsut re read that not really much help at all I am sure one of these lovely ladies will tho.

Taine has been under the weather too recently, and last night was the worse, sleep-wise. He's always slept so well, 6pm-6am, but last night it was up every hour! the worst part is that I can't ignore him and let him settle himself as he's sharing a room with Jake, and I don't want him to disturb him. Mioght put the portocot in the spare room tonight!

we've been giving him the extra bottle when he wakes though, just to keep him fluids up, but I would definitely refrain from letting him sleep with you! done that, and took a while to get out of the habit.

Yea I'm sorry to say it is very normal and even an older child will wake up during the night if they are not feeling well.

About the diahorrea bug, your Doc may advise you to feed at nights short-term to keep his fluids up. But you will need to watch if it is becoming a habit like Deb said

Also I don't know his sleeping preference but sleeping on his tummy may be more relaxing for his intenstines and he may therefore sleep better that way.
