My friend has battles with her son (well step son but she raises him). Does he go to his fathers place and come back with the attitude?? My friend found that when L was going to his birth mothers and in the few hours he came back and the next day he had a horrible attitude to her and the rest of the family. They are in the process of straightening him out but it is taking time as his birth mother is putting things into his head like K isn't your mum she just looks after you and don't listen to her as shes not the boss of you your dad is. But K is the one that does the parenting.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Becks I've heard sometimes the attitude in that situation can just be because the kid is unsettled and needs to wind down a little.

Ellen have you tried contacting www.parentsinc.org? They do seminars all around the country and live broadcasts on at least two radio stations where you can ask questions.

I think it's the age!! Jayden has just turned five and started school and he changed almost overnight. He is now a smart little pain in the butt and gone is our wee sweetheart. He is also driving us up the wall. I think I can remember Micheal being like that and I think it's a case of just riding it out it does pass. Just keep being firm.

I'm a new entrant teacher, so have alot of 5 year olds that are definitely very tired this time of year. It may be that the struture of his school day is different so throwing him out of whack a little.
Just a thought though.
