at the doctor for conjunctivitis in a 16 month old?
Shes got really sticky eyes they are all gunky and keep getting gunky. Plus she has a real snotty nose, but not much of a cough.

Its $40 just to take her to afterhours!! I cant believe that!

They will probably give you some antibiotic drops which you need to see a doc for. Conjunctivitis is really contagious so make sure you wash your hands when you touch the gunk and try and discourage Kylah from rubbing her eyes too (easier said than done)

She wont stop rubbing them, i tell her not to every time she does, and i try to wipe the gunk away as i see it appear. I also think she has given it to me as my eyes are starting to get itchy and gunky.

Yeah i just rung a different chemist and they said they only thing you can get over the counter is a mild type of antibiotic that wont work if the conjunctivitis is gotten bad!

So off to the afterhours we go!

Unfortunately you need to see the doc and soon if it is that bad, ask about some drops for yourself too if you think you have it. It will just go through everyone, You probably need to check with daycare (if you go, can't remember) as we had to have 24hours eyedrops before she could go ba

I forgot we have a doctor down the road that is open 7 days. The lady was ssoooo nice, and her doctor was really great! Better than our normal doc so we have enrolled there!!

They only charged me $15 too!!

I have some eyedrops and antibiotics for Kylah as she has an ear infection too!

Poor wee mite!

Awww Kahtrell had a similar kind of thing, but he was still his normal self, my doctor said to just keep wiping out his eyes, and that you could use a little saline solution, and pamol for his ears...and sure enough he was fine a day or so later..it was a virus he had picked up.
