Jaxon is still waking every morning around 3 or 4am. He has 4 blankets on, plus a sleepsuit and has the oil heater on all night.

He wakes and plays then crys, getting louder and louder.

My frined suggested maybe hes not eating enough but I have started giving him lots more to eat (heaps) and it still happens.

I still breast feed but also was informed that breast milk does not add calories to babies diets at his age (10mths) just quenches his thirst.. So now Im trying to not give him any at lunch or if I do i feed him food fist thenbreast feed him if I have too.

I give him juice or water in which he doesnt really drink. Thats another reason I still breast feed him cos Im worried hes not getting enough fluids.

He is also still having ver soft, mashed foods with no lumps. I try him on chunky stuff and he just gags, coughs, splutters and spews?? He does have sandwiches, and toast etc but usually only sucks till gets really sogy and then not eat.

Im just so confused. I really dont know how to get Jaxon into a good sleeping routine now, god eating ad wean him off breast milk...

He doesnt hardly sleep during the day now. He jst screams and holds his breath each time I put him to bed.

Could be his teeth as well but i give him pamol and bonjela which usually works.

Im just confused about what im meant to be doing, how much he is meant to be eating and so on.

I wasnt giving him morning or afternoon snacks either till Mum said I should be. Poor bugger. I tried today by giving him some crackers ad a bit of yoghurt.

I DUNNO.

ANy ideas??

I have rung plunket to ask for an appointment but they not in office till next week now.

Yeah the thought of Brat Camp aka Mothercraft is a bit scary. It was awesome for us tho, and I know Kelpa had good sucess from it with Blake. Hopefully plunket will have some ideas. Have u phoned Plunketline? I find them more helpful and easier to get hold of than the plunket here.

At that age I was still bf Hannah and Briona, and they were both still waking once a night - I was told that it wasn't necessary past 6mos but I didn't have the guts to insist They were both eating about 4 meals a day, not really lunch but more like two lunches at 11am and 2pm with a sleep in between. They basically got everything we ate but in smaller portions of course, and the odd drink of water when they wanted. I weaned both of them (completely) at about 11mos and they started sleeping thru immediately (yay!) and started drinking a bit more during the day as well, although it seems so tiny, the amount a 10mo drinks!!
