My child thinks his name is Monkey.....
I was calling out to him this morning, Joshie, Joshie.... Joshua, Joshua..... no reaction, so quietly I called out.... Monkey.... and he turned to me straight away with a big smile on his face!!

Erin knows her name... but sometimes I do wonder whether or not she'll grow up thinking we *really* named her 'munchkin'

he he, we have the same for Ayja - she well and truely knows she is a monkey.. so much so when we were being silly the other day i called paris a monkey and ayja got cross and said "no! - Ayja monkey".. obviously she likes being acknowledged for the mischeif that she is. we usually say "what's ayja?" and she'll go "monkey, ooh ooh aah aah"

My dad calls Kobe mustang for some reason, now when you ask kobe was his name is he says Kobe mustang or big boy mustang. We are going to get a t shirt with grandad mustang and one with kobe mustang printed as a joke.

LOL that is cute...
Dh calls his mates son Dennis the menace...he now answers to Dennis...not his name!!!
Im a little worried tho cause Dh calls one of the cats puppy - and messes with her mind...and am sure he will do the same to our bubs...OMG!!! Its bad enough that Dh calls her one thing and my mum calls her another - both short versions of her name...so will be interesting which one she prefers later on....

For a long time Kiya would tell you her name was "Kiya Mary Darling King" because that's what Nanma (my Mum) called her! If I said her name was "Kiya Mary King" she'd correct me!

Hehehe, I had the same panic when Ella was that little. I called her (and still do) Sausage more than I called her Ella.
She knows her name is Ella now but will still answer to one or the other or both, depending on her mood.
Benjy is known as Noodle and if we accidentally mix up and call him Sausage boy do we hear about it from Ella!

Lol.. Alize is going to grow up thinking his name is "son" as that is all me and the girls call him. Mercedes answers to her middle as well as her first name. I thinks its because her paternal gparents have called her that since she was born.

We had a monkey for the first year and a bit (he was born in the year of the monkey so we were calling him that ever since I was pregnant). Now Andrew is a monster and will answer to that as well. He will also tell people that his name is Andrew Monster. My sister is still refered to as Jack (after Jack Daniels) after a friend from South Africa started calling her that (she's now 19 and my parents still call her Jack).

LOL Clare!
I call my babies the 'gremlins' Sometimes they are the cute furry kind, other times they are the naughty kind...
And Maya atm is Bubba Womble or Bubba Wombat. No idea why. She has had so many nicknames over the years that I'm amazed she even knows what her real name is!
