*bump*

You know you're sleep deprived when...

... you get out of the shower and you put your deodorant on your belly, and your bio oil under your arms !!

You can't finish a single sentence, or repeat the last thing you said

he he, you know you are sleep deprived when you go to change the sheets on the baby's cot, and have to stop and sit and rest on the floor between putting each sheet on.. it's just so tiring. (no kidding, was me this afternoon)

You know you're sleep deprived when your kids get to you for the littlest things, and you start using the phrases that make you sound like your mother.... and

You know you're sleep deprived when you can now sympathise with WHY your mother said those things to begin with...

That cracks me up!  So blimmin true.

I knew I was sleep deprived the night I put Ella to bed all dressed in her nightwear but sans nappy.  More recently, I've called hubby "mum" a few times (how's that for weird?!?", called Ella a friend's baby's name more than once, and called the poor girl "puss" instead of the kitten.  I've also tried to put the kitten down for a sleep as if it were a tired baby...

and every time I go to re-heat my half-finished coffee I open the microwave to find the last drink still in there.

I had to laugh at myself this morning, Jack woke up and was crying through the monitor, so what do I do, hit the snooze button on the alarm clock, then wonder why it didn't turn off.

You know you are sleep deprived when you start typing out a response to a thread over in the pregnancy bit, get half way through it then wander off to the kitchen for half an hour, then come back to find a half written post.

Heh nzpiper, I have that problem with one of my singlets. I stare at it for ages making sure that I put it on the right way, and I always manage to mess it up!

I also know that I'm sleep deprived as I spent 10 minutes staring at a crossword clue 'kinder', not realising it meant 'nicer' and not 'kinder surprise kinder'.

I even asked DP what 'kinder' meant, cause I had no idea..

You know you're sleep deprived when you have really sore muscles so run yourself a nice hot deep bath, turn off the taps, and then go off and do something else for half an hour and totally forget about your bath...

Did that tonight.. and I don't even have kids

When I was a sleep deprived Nanny, bubs would wake for a mid-night feed, and do as someone has mentioned already, leave the cap on and wonder why bubs is still fussing! When you put the dirty nappy back in the nappy stacker on top of the clean ones, and when babys singlet and onesie are on INSIDE out!

Many more, but im too sleep deprived to remember...!
