Australia - To go or not to go?? Advise

My friend moved there last year and while she does love it she is really missing family and friends which she didnt think she would. She has found it a really clicky sort of place, a lot of the mothers groups didnt seem to welcoming. They have good jobs but mortgage and rent wise means they dont really seem much better off but they do like the lifestyle and there is heaps to do with the kids. We thought about going but after hearing her experience Im not really sure Im that keen anymore and she is seriously thinking of coming back end of next year anyway.
