Topic: my heart stopped! Posted: 24 June 2008 at 11:41am |
OMG!!!!!, I went out the front door, closed it behind me and 2 secs later i hear this "click"
yeap you guessed it miss Rhiannon had just locked me out of the house....(we have round handles with the push locks) and she isnt strong enought to turn them.
i had to go over to my neigbhours, in my pjs (as we are having a lazy lazy day), and i had no shoes on and no bra
Kent had to come home from work...25min trip from town (as soon as i saw him i burst into tears)
but all good now...miss rhiannon thought it was a great game....and is now almost asleep.
Oh and i was just going to check the mail.

What a cheeky minx!
OMG. Just as well it was now and not while you had dinner on the stove.
I'm always so freaked out that that may happen in the evening when it's just me and Michaela that I'm totally anal about insuring the bolt is clicked to open and luckily it's too high for her to reach.
(even so, note to self: get a spare key cut for MIL)

That could soooo happen to me I've locked myself out twice in the past year, thankfully not with the kids inside, but I've had to break a window both times to get back in.

How hideous! Joshua did the same to me during the summer - I was out on our balcony watering the plants, when I looked up and there he was flicking up the latch on the ranch slider Thank goodness Jono was still home. Unfortunately he was in the shower. Upstairs. Took him 10 mins to get out of the shower and hear me yelping out for him!
Even more unfortunately I was in undies and a singlet. And our house is right beside the SouthWestern motorway
Got lots of toots

Indeed!
Although in further thinking about it, it must have been very scary for you given that Rhi was locked in the house by herself.
At least I could see Joshie through the window, and knew that Jono was inside.
Big hugs to you, even though its all over now

lol
when sarah was 2 she locked herself in my bedroom, we had to get a ladder and pry the window open with a crowbar, whilst she sat infront of my mirror giggling and putting eyeshadow all over her face

I did this once - we have a lock on one of our doors that only feels locked when you are outside, but you can still open it as usual from the inside. Thankfully I knew where to find the spare. Can you imagine three preschoolers locked inside, none of them strong enough to open the front door!?! Phew!
And LOL to all you semi-naked women hahah!
