Have a friend/family member who can be annoying to watch tv/movies with?

I have two yes TWO.

Mum just saw the ad to Private Practice and started making all these noises and saying how annoying it is that they don't tell you when it starts... she did the same thing with grey's (thankfully thats started now) She laughs really loudly and goes ooh ooh ooh in programmes and movies when something is happening. Talks about movies being "fun"

DP on the other hand oh my life, he is always asking questions in the middle of things especially when your trying to listen to what is being said like on the news. He asks questions when he has been watching longer then me. Umm if you stopped to listen then you might pick up abit more then you can ask questions.

Just asking because Grey's is on and mum is making noises again lol

Oh and Isabelle will squeel at the top of her lungs and point and whatever is on the TV

"Its a giraffe .......mum ..........look .........giraffe"
"Treeeeeeeee, its a big tree isnt it Mumma"
"Boy, whats the boy doing Mumma, ooooooo another boy ........look Mumma its a boy"

TV is definately not relaxing in this household.

Oh you would hate to watch TV with me...

I have a very short attention span these days and can never keep up with most things on TV, I am either asking DH questions or start talking about something else. Oh and then I get bored and end up on the computer where I sit talking to myself.

AFHV is the worst, I will sit and scream at the TV.. "Oh no no no no - OoooooH - Owch - Hahaha..." untill I can no longer breathe. (DH says watching me is often funnier than watching the tv) It wasn't so funny when I had an injured rib.

Actually mines kinda the opposite, I'll be watching tv or a movie and my grandfather or mum will walk in and just start talking to me...

I probably annoy dp though if I'm not interested I'll usually start giggling about something funny I remember. I'm pretty sure it annoys or confuses him in 'serious' shows

im an annoying person to watch movies/TV with ...im one of those people that knows lots of useless facts about useless stuff .
eg , when Bruce Willis guest starred on Friends , he did it for free because he made a bet with Matthew Perry on the set of Whole 9 yards and If he lost , he had to guest star on friends for no cost .
Or , he was the one that suggested the actor who plays John Coffey in the Green Mile for the role
Or I will interrupt your tv watching to tell you who is married to who, who went out with who , who has kids with who (In real life )
And what else they've been in .
Caitlyn has inherited that gift too, recently we were watching Gilmore Girls and Dean's wife Lindsay was on , and Caitlyn, Phil and I all said "whats she off ? "
then C says "oh , shes the girl from John Tucker must Die "
and Phil turns to me and says " if there needed to be any more proof she is your daughter ..."

this is how annoying I can be , when Titanic came out, I went with my friend and spent the whole 4 hours wondering where I had seen Rose's fiance's man servant .
Whole 4 hours im telling my friend i've seen him and driving her crazy trying to work it out .
Right at the end , I realise he was the father in my sister's Hansel and Gretel movie .
My friend was not impressed .
She still hasn't been to another movie with me .

Thank god for IMDB tho .

Haha I love IMDB!

We have a boarder - 18 years old and she gets so excited when anything happens in a movie and verbalises all of the dramatic parts with ooo's and aaa's and oh no's lolol. And god if she has seen the movie beforehand I get a rundown AS everything is happening so essentially miss it lol. Still it's nice to have someone to watch chicky flcks with

I think you should all be grateful you actually get to watch something from start to finish!! I am married to a channel surfer, and his father is the same. I don't think I have ever watched a full programme/movie in the 2 1/2 years we've been together, if DH has been home.

Mine can't watch ads, so HAS to change the channel during the ad break which means we usually miss the first few minutes of the programme we were watching after the ads finish as he never flicks back in time or he suddenly decides he'd rather watch the new programme he's found. We don't watch tv together very often...

My MIL is terrible to watch TV with, even if it is something that she has chosen, she'll just start up a full conversation with someone across the room so that no one can hear what is going on.
It is worse when there is sport on. She assumes that since she doesn't care, then I don't either, but I do!

I'm one of those people, I talk to the tele, and DH thinks I'm talking to him.
He's annoying in that he'll pick apart any inconsistencies regarding guns, explosions etc - ok I get if its a documentary but when its an ordinary tv show its for entertainment purposes it doesn't have to be real.

Oh yeah dads a channel surfer. OR he sits and watches CI channel all day. Where he falls asleep and as sson as you realise he's ben asleep for about half an hour you change the channel he wakes up and changes it back

DP also quotes the lines from movies if he has seen them. And he has seen pretty much everything. I fall asleep in movies so am guilty of asking "have we seen that" to which I get told yes you fell asleep 20mins in. Whoops feels so much longer

ETA: Dad also has random bits of information, like last night watching James May Toy Story thingee he felt the need to tell me that a spitfire was named after the inventors wife. Her nickname was spitfire. Yep thats great. Oh and the dry CRUDE jokes. Not needed. Oh and complaining about damn near everything. If he doesn't like the programme he complains complains complains. Doesn't like bruce willis so complains makes lame jokes talks about nothing, grumbles you name it he does it. I often tell him to be quiet as the rest of the house is happily watching whatever it is. He now takes himself down to the bedroom to watch tv or do his sudoku when we're watching something he doesn't like

I do that! DH never says anything but I think it really annoys him. I particularly like finding mistakes in cooking shows, don't know why.... And everytime is is an American show and they call something by what I think is the wrong name (like cilantro) I feel the need to correct them
