Hi girls,

I'm putting together a wish list for MIL of furniture for baby's room and have most things sorted. Do any of you have a nursing chair brand/style that you could recommend? And if you do, where did you get it from?

TIA

I don't have a nursing chair - I have an extemely comfy old style lazyboy - low arms, rocks, and reclines (perfect for those horrid colicy nights when bubs was newborn and you'll do anything to get them to sleep, and then are too scared to move..)

I didn't have a lazyboy or a rocking type chair I just had a really old comfy armchair which worked really well.

I still have the chair but my lounge would look silly without it so I am thinking of getting a second hand lazy boy for my bedroom.

we brought a lazy boy when I was feeding Bailey but just used the normal sofa or arm chair when we were feeding Aidan - mostly because the lazyboy was being used as a clothes caddy lol

this time we have just moved into a bigger place and the lazy boy is in babys room waiting

I got a chair from Farmers ($80 - $120 depending on sales). I think its product name is 'Sally'?

It's a curved wooden chair - IKEA style - with padded seat and high padded back. Hard to describe but from side the frame is sort of an S shape and has a spring in the design.

Anyway, ergonomic and super comfy.

Ive no idea what brand mine is. I got it 2nd hand off Ebay. Although I must admit it could have done with soft arm rests instread of just wooden ones. But I still love it.

Hi, I just had a "normal" chair for my first baby but from what I've heard/read second timers wish they'd gotten a breastfeeding/nursing chair the first time! Baby Factory and Baby City have nursing chairs for $399 or you could pick up a bargain on Trade Me.

I got the rocking chair with matching foot stool from Baby factory and it has been worth it's weight in gold! We had a very upset child from undiagnosed reflux in the early days and sometimes all I could do to get him to stop screaming and sleep was to have him wrapped up rocking back and forth quite fast with white noise cranked up I still use it all the time and felt quite lost without it when it had to be replaced, it broke but was under warranty and the supplier provided a new one a few days later, fantastic service
