Topic: Houdini Baby! Posted: 10 October 2006 at 8:44am |
OMFG!!!!!!
I went in to wake Caitlin for her 7am feed this morning and as I approached the cot I felt the blood drain from my body! I could only see a bump under the covers!
She had managed to slide/wiggle out of her safety sleep (arms still stretched over her head) with her legs all scrunched up against her (and the pillow I had put at the foot of her cot) and she had the blanket pulled right over her head!
I pulled the covers back in a hurry - which gave her a big fright and she screamed out. I was so relieved!!! Then the lil' minx realised it was me then let out this beaming smile
So now she's wrapped VERY tightly in her safety sleep with her bedding made up at the foot of the cot. She ain't going no where now!
Not a good way to stay the day I can tell you!

I used to fall asleep when I was breastfeeding and Ella would be underneath the covers when I woke up.. gave me a huge fright everytime but I was soooo tired that I couldn't help it. Luckily I woke up each time and she was ok.. scary though!

How scary! Your heart stops for a second doesn't it! I found Ashleigh the other day with her wrap right up over her head - she had wriggled down aswell. Luckily she was screaming for her bottle so I knew she was ok!!

Holly Molly what a freaky thing to walk in on if it's not something she usually does....(Even though some babies like the covers up over their heads). Lucky she is alright and gave you a big smile...cheeky wee thing

What a little minx!!
I got a heck of a fright this morning because I discovered one of the cats had snuck into Maddie's room during her middle of the night feed and been shut in there with her!! I heard Paris jump down of something and realised the noise came from Maddie's room and honestly you have never seen me run so fast...I was dreading the worst, that Paris has slept on top of Maddie and....
Anyway, Maddie was still sound asleep and happy as and Paris was glad to be let loose! From now on we check the room VERY carefully! Even better....shut the door all the time!

Our cats know they're not allowed in Erin's room as when I was pregnant and we did catch one sleeping in the bassinette, she got chased outside and drenched ! They sometimes walk in when I'm in there changing her, but know they have to leave the room when I do. I can still understand why it would give you a fright though Paws ! We can shut ours down the "back" end of the house at night.
