Topic: WEIGHT LOSS STOPPED Posted: 15 June 2007 at 3:44pm |
Ive lost about 16 kgs since having Jaxon and before my wedding it was dropping off. Also breast feeding every 3 hours helped. But now 3 months after my wedding Im still the same weight. Im only breast feding 3 times a day now as Jaxon is on solids. Its so depressing... I cant seem to do it anymore and I still have about 15 kgs to lose. My tummy is like a big wobbly flat tyre and my hips are huge. I cant stand looking in the mirror. It just makes me feel worse.
How can i get myself motivated again.
Im just so hungry all the time as if I was still breast feeding lots.
Cant control myself...

I hear ya, not that I am trying very hard mind you but the tummy is still there after 3 kids (although can't blame the first two as I had youth on my side and got a flat tummy quite quickly)There is no quick (inexpensive) way to get rid of it though and so no solution for you just that you are not alone.

Here's a neat diet 'tip' - maybe try that. (sorry can't remember where I found it, I have used it though and it kind of makes sense). Best of luck!
If you have already lowered calories too much there is still chance to re-adjust dietary intake to help boost the metabolism back into fat burning mode and limit further loss of lean weight. One technique which many top bodybuilders use is the Zig Zag method, the most effective Zig Zag comprises a 3 day cycle of calories below maintenance level, then a day of maintenance level calories. This scientifically proven technique virtually stops any loss of lean muscle and keeps the metabolism from slowing. It's also a great motivator as the dieter can still enjoy foods often forbidden on many commercial diets. The Zig Zag method is one of the best-kept secrets from the world of natural bodybuilding.

Totally agree with yummymummy here! I did the ZigZag method leading up to my wedding and lost over 10kgs! It was 3 days of a very controlled diet and then 1 day of total carbs, then back to the 3 days and so on. I actually went through Leanne from Downsize Me (I know her personally) as she is a Bodybuilder/Sculptor aswell. This approach definately works, but is only a short term approach to weight loss as opposed to an ongoing "diet" as such.
I will try and find it and post it on here to give you an idea!
