Well after months and months of my boy waking up drumming and going to sleep drumming, we decided to buy him a drum-kit. He loves it, and I'm amazed by his sense of rhythm for a 1 year old!
Check out his drum solo |

Wow - Harry is awesome Sounds like he was born to be in a band! And what a great way of channelling his impulse to hit things ...this is a brilliant creative outlet for his energy . |

That is very very impressive!! Go Harry! (I couldn't even do that if I tried)
I see a real pro drummer in the making DH will be so jealous he's got his very own drum kit.
 Too cute!!!!

Aw thanks guys some of the stuff he comes out with on those drums, DH and I just look at each other in amazement.... then I think to myself that maybe all 1 year olds are like that, and I'm just amazed cos he's my son lol.
And Kakapo - you're so right about it being a great outlet! Funnily enough we haven't really had problems with the hitting lately - I figured out it happens when he's bored, so we've been keeping him busy. And we've been doing the 'we only drum on drums' thing which is working well! I think that when he was hitting, to himself he wasn't 'hitting' he was 'drumming' lol.

He's definitely got a gift for rhythm.
I showed DH who is the muso among us (guitar and bass though) and he was very impressed. His exact words were along the lines of 'Holy Sh*%t that's amazing' lol
DH is also a bit sad now as he realises that his dream of Rowan being musically gifted are probably not going to be realised lmao. |

Bobbie your DH is so funny! Maybe he should start drumming on your belly and playing music and to it so he can influence his unborn child whilst it's developing He could hook up headphones to his bass and play to the baby! CUTE!!!
We got Harry the cutest little ear muffs today, they're blue. Now here's hoping he wears them... I'm gonna wrap them up so we can make a big deal outta them.
