I did think that it helped with the fluid intake. Sorry not much help .

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Try powerade isotonic it replaces the lost electrolytes and is tasty. It also wont give them a sore tummy from being so cold but is cool and smooth/soothing.

Yeah flat lemonade always calmed my stomach. Lemonade iceblocks too! I think it's just because they are so plain tasting that they are easy on the tummy.
I wouldn't give powerade to Ella, but I don't like those kind of drinks anyway. There are other things you can get from the chemist to put in juice/water if you want to replace electrolytes, can't remember what it's called though.

gastrolyte. Tastes FOUL, though. I like lucozade if you have sore tum, seems much less harsh than the other energy drinks, plus has electorlytes. Also, Myzone is good too, water with vitamins.

i think theory of lemonade iceblocks is that it cools and hydrates kids...who when vomitting dont normally take in a lot of fluid...and this is a much nicer way of going down...ditto with flat lemonade - i still do that or flat l and p when sick now even (so does DH!!)

It's also true I think that they are kinder on the stomach than just water? Or is that only on the way up as some of you have referred to already?

not sure bout that but i guess some water could have bugs still in it which if you already have an upset stomach would be the last thing you want.
Ice blocks seem to line the throat a bit so its not so harsh coming back up, not so acidy (sorry TMI)
