Oh, i thought you may have been a Palmy lady as I went to a guy called A1drivers, and he was really good with my "panic attacks". I would ring around if I were you and explain the situation. Ask for a trial lesson. If they can calm you down, then take them up for more. Also, you aucklanders seem only to be able to drive at 20km an hour down your highways - not too scarey!

That ok caraMel. I don't blame you then Hormones are horrible things. My advise would be ring the AA ecxplain the situation and ask for someone that will understand and try and get a not so busy time to do the first lesson. Just mostly side streets.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

i'm 20 and i got my learners when i was about 5 months pregnant as i thought it was about time to bite the bullet.
i've never really liked driving and it got even worse when i crashed with mikey in the car when he was only 8 days old!! i still try not to drive but my partner says the best thing for it is to drive more and that way i'll gain confidence.

I had my learners for around 5 years and my restricted for 7 years but finally a week gone I went for my full and Passed Yay for me (patting myself on the back)_ I really hate tests and failing was my worst fear, driving was the easy part I didn't mind that. I reckon if you have the money (although is alot to go through it all) go for it. Take a few deep breaths and go for it, especially Debs I am not sure what public trave l is like in Np but Taranaki doesn't exactly have alot of it.
Wouldn't be with out mind now.
