Topic: So far Im loving Foodtown Online! Posted: 12 October 2006 at 6:00pm |
Well seeing as our Bounty Pack gave us 2 free home deliveries we figured...hey why not trying doing our grocery shopping online with Foodtown.
I think if this standard of service keeps up I could be converted totally even when having to pay the delivery fee!!
You can get virtually everything you would normally (fresh, frozens, meat, veges the works!), we saved lots of money as we didn't have the impulse buys, you can get bulk nappies not available in the shops and it's delivered right to your kitchen.
Plus they didn't have a few things we ordered so we given substitues but were only charged the lower price!!
Oh and we got samples of ceral and shampoo.
Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone else here uses this yet but so far I can't recommend it highly enough!

I just registered the other day, I figure I am going to need it! But haven't actually used it yet. Sounds like I will have to give it a go!

My sister is a nanny down in Wellington and they always use it. They do have to climb 63 steps to get to their front door so better someone else doing it carring the shopping. I hope I get it in my pack in 4 or so months.

We shop online most of the time and we find it to be fantastic too I love the way they give you the more expensive subs at the cheaper price. Definitely recommend it too.

I always go on their site to check stuff out but found that the online prices so not reflect the sale they have on as per their brochure...I wonder when you place an order they give you the items in the discounted price or full price?....

Delivery charges depend on your order size..ie: less than $100 is $15.00 delivery, over $100.00 is $13 and over $200 is $10.00.
Sales do vary from area to area apparently but the website seems to update regulary with specials.
Plus as I say with not having the impulse buys you save money! We worked out we saved around $50.00 over all.

We tried it too but with Woolworths, which is basically the same thing, and I found it really handy not having to pack Erin up and into the car and all that jazz... Don't know about saving money though, I reckon I still could have got more for my buck at Pak n Save (but was just too lazy to go LOL).

I hate going to pak n save - you can never find anything eg my fav tomato sauce or cheese etc. I also find the other shoppers just plain rude - they'll drive their trolleys right on top of you and never even say 'sorry' - well half of them don't seem to speak English anyways!!!
Rant over....
I'll have to try Foodtown online once I have bubs

lol..I shop at Pak n Slave.. and have never run anyone over lmao.. I'm pretty sure I can speak English too
Their selection of food is limited but if I had a huge range of options I would spend more.. so limited is good! What I don't like about it is that they made their trollies bigger so you would buy more - and they don't fit between cars anymore also if you use shop n go (which I love) you have to get green bags, and they are thinner than the yellow ones - so end up breaking!

I wouldn't shop online as I'm always running out of something so pretty much have to go most days.. plus I live really close to the supermarket so $15 isn't worth it.. however, if I lived up a huge number of stairs I'd definately consider it!!

We figured it was worth it having the free the deliveries, although our Foodtown is only 10 mins away, plus I normally get a cheapie delivery with my Onecard, it was nice to have everything delivered and not have to tackle the shops with Maddie in tow!
We also managed to save money because once I reviewed the list I was able to take out what we didn't really need...helped heaps!
