Yay for the IL’s

Can't believe I'm saying this but my in laws rock at the moment! lol

We have been looking at heat pumps at the mo just because our gas bill was $90 last month and the only thing on gas is our heating and its crap heating AND a friend of mine said he would install it for us (hes a sparky) and he's done one in his home..

So DH was around at his parents on the weekend and mentioned this to his mumma and she could see all the reasoning behind why we wanted some alternative form of heating but ended up saying to him not to go and buy one cause they were going to get one for us as DH's bday pressie!!

Their other son owes them $3k for a car so they are going to write that off and get us a heat pump.. but not til his birthday in September. But still It's so cool of them. They are on very very good wages and they like helping their sons out when needed. It lets us put our money into finishing pink batts etc.

I can't wait to ditch the gas. I hate paying the connection fees all during the summer months when we aren't even using any gas at all. So we are going to be better off once it happens. It's awesome!

Yeah it's soooooooo impressively cool of them. We will still have stinky gas for a couple more months but oh well

yeaha good one, we move on Friday and will be leaving gas behind also can't wait!! We have kent fire and a heat pump where we are going joins you in the dance!!!

I second go for the biggest one... we brought one last month which never seems to power down.... like it's always working... damn open plan living!!!!!

Not looking forward to our first power bill!!!
