Hi,

This is a random question, but I thought its worth asking.

I have what I believe are chillblains on some of my toes (is that an english expression) it happens when your feet are really cold then get too hot too quickly, they get sore then hot and itchy.

Not sure i've had this since I was a kid, and I cannot remember how I treated it. Can't be bothered to go to the Dr and spend $36 for them to tell me to buy an over the counter cream.

but its so sore and itchy its driving me nuts, its all my own fault, I get cold and jump in hot bath to warm up, so I only have myself to blame and its not like my mother didn't tell me this when I was a kid, think I had lots then, must be prone to it.

Does anyone know whats the best thing to do - creams to buy etc?

I get these too, they hurt so much!!! I have always used a cream by Weleda? I think its called frost cream and is specifically for chill blains (sp?)

Also a few years ago now I went to a pharmacy and they gave me something to take to stop them actually starting, I have not taken it for awhile though due to TTC then pregnancy and BF and for the life of me I cannot remember what its was but it did work, so maybe asked your local pharmacist.

Also with the cream I use to put it on and then wrapped my toes in cotton wool and plasters and then put socks on.........very attractive LOL!!

Hope they clear up soon cause they hurt like hell and are so itchy!

So yay thats the right way and more yay for the fact weleda do a cream, am off to buy it now.

Not sure what i did a few days ago but I went from having one to most toes being sore, am being very nice to my feet now.

Why is it these sort of things are worse at night????????????????????????
