I went up to the hospital to see the boy from the accident just before. I went to the main desk and asked what ward he was in, and she told me ICU. I had a small panic attack in the lift going up there (my mum lived in ICU in 1995 and died 3 times up there and brought back to life, and it was like a scary second home for us as we spend most of our free/spare time up there being with mum), do I still want to do this? Should I still do this?, argh too late i'm in the lift I should do it.
Buzzed the intercom thing and ask if he's awake, he is dad is with him. So I go in and straight away wash my hands, the nurse said you must of done this before - so I told him about mum and one of the other nurse was like OMG I was her nurse (and I was like OMG you have been here far too long, but probably a good thing as she is experienced). They took me over to him and I told his dad who I was - he was happy I did make it up.
Sean said thank you for all I did, and I asked if he remembered anything - he didn't so I asked him if he wanted to know what I saw. He wanted to know so I told him. He was laying there just like OMFG really, and when I told him that when you came round we were surprised you didn't swear once; his dad was impressed. Told him how it took 45 minutes to get him out and how flat the cab was of the ute.
Ute's a rightoff (as we thought it was on Wednesday night). So I went over to MItre 10 Mega to let the lady that rang me who was there as well to let her know how he was. She was going to pass it onto the people whos house it was just outside as the woman there found some personal stuff on the side of the road that the police didn't worry about.
So apart from my slight panic attack, i'm glad I did it and i'm glad he is going to be all good.
