Just wondering how you ladies clean your children's toys and how often you do it?

I think I sometimes get a bit carried away with cleaning around here, it's the OCD. I'm not even prepared to tell people how often I wash my hands on a daily basis ...it's crazy!

Slowly driving myself insane

With James' plastic ones I spray them with spray and wipe and then rinse them with hot water.

ETA I do it every few months or so or when he sticks them in the toilet or gets them covered in stuff.

I think that I have only cleaned a few of his toys that have got quite grubby and then only in hot water. Mind you they are only ever really on our floor so don't seem to get dirty

I normally use water and a little dettol cos I don't like to use anything that isn't safe for him to eat. I wash them when they get grubby/touch something gross or he pees on them whilst having nappy off time, lol.

Lol yeah sure why not!

Lucas had conjunctivitis as a wee bub and it was rather difficult to get rid of (he caught it in my birth canal)- took up until 4 months on/off ...so I was constantly having to clean his toys in order to prevent him from reinfecting the 'good' eye!

Guess it became habit ...

Um when they get really dirty or get stuff on them.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
