I was in the supermarket tonight and as we left the checkout, I was holding DD, and a woman in the checkout next to ours was paying. Her older son (about 6 years old) jumped on the side of the empty trolley, which her younger son (about three?) was sitting in. The whole thing overbalanced and fell on top of the six year old and the three year old went down with it, banging his head on the floor. I was standing right there, it landed on my feet, and couldn't stop it. I actually stepped back because I thought it was going to hit me with DD in my arms. I feel so sick that I could have stopped it and didn't. The boys were upset but seemed ok.

Had to leave quickly at the end there - DH needed help in the bath with DD!

Just wanted to add - please, please, watch those shopping trolleys. It was so scary to see and I am so glad the kids seemed ok. Their mum was very scared but handled it pretty well.

Every time I'm at the supermarket or the Warehouse, I hear the announcements about injuries to do with kids and trollies

I hope he's okay, poor little boy!
