Topic: Fun for kids in Sydney? Posted: 25 September 2007 at 1:08pm |
Woohoo! We're off to Sydney for 2.5 weeks in 8 days and I need some ideas of what to do while we're there.
We're going to the zoo of course, but other than that I have absolutely no idea of what there is to see and do with rugrats.
Help please!
TIA!

The Aquarium is great in town, even the gremlins loved it last time we went. And the coffee cruises that Captain Cook cruises do around Sydney harbour are fun too, they're relatively inexpensive and they do a big tour around the harbour pointing out things of interest and historical significance.
There's also a place called Clown Town which is like a huge indoor playground, my sister often takes the kids she nannies there, I'll get the details from her.

2nd the aquarium thats fun. Taking the ferry across to Manly is nice, it leaves from circular quay and goes under the bridge.

Oh and Luna park is a big rip off, it's like the Easter show where you have to pay for everything individually, we've never bothered.
Blues Point is a nice place for a picnic, it's right under the Harbour Bridge and they have a playground etc.
And the Fish Markets in Pyrmont are cool too, you can get a massive seafood platter for about $20 and sit out in the sun and eat it, even my kids love it.
Can you tell I spend too much time in Sydney?

Going up Sydney Tower for a looksie. Darling Harbour. the Rocks, Opera House all the usual tourist sites are fun. Watsons Point has some great sites of Sydney and you can eat at Doyles where the tables are on the beach.
