Our boys will go to our friends who as yet, have been unable to have their own children. they are very similar to us (she's a primary teacher) and would be such wonderful parents I feel so positive about leaving the boys to them should anything happen to us.

as for life insurance - i realy want to do this and plan to once I start full-time work. I know my family would help me out if something happened to Lewis but am quite scared that if something happened to me, he woul go to his family and they would have far too much influence over the raising of the boys - we have differing parenting styles and Lew can be a bit of a pushover when it comes to his parents.

WE have life insurance, mortgage protection and DH has income protection, plus we have super and kiwi saver (well he has super, we both have kiwi saver). Kids would go to some friends of ours, not tht I don;'t love my family, but they don't [arent AT ALL the way I would want my kids brought up, nor are they stable enough in environment. HAving just gone through my uninsured and dirt poor fathers death, I do not want to leave Rod or my kids in a similar position as Mum was left in money wise, having to pay for funeral etc (which will take another 12 months to pay off, and she won't let any of us give her $) plu the burdon of whatever debt ws left behind. No mortgage, though. Arrggh. Grown up stuff is HARD.
