Farmers.
We got the bunk set that can also be two beds to keep the option open of more children. Was on sale paid $250 for the bunks. Got a proper inner sprung mattress for it (just the one to start off with, but recently purchased another) I think they were around the $100 mark.... Also got a mattress protector from Kmart - about $13 (The plastic ones as we have a bed wetter)

i got kobe a race car bed and foam matteress, cost about $500 i think from bedworld but the bottom part comes out to be a second bed which will be handy for when he has wee friends over and also the high sides kept him in the bed when he was little. i love it

i got one of our beds (a divan) from a second hand dealer $80 and i brought a new mattress from payless plastics ($30 on special)
The other was a trundler set i got off tm and it came with new mattresses, just like the cheap one that on got from payless plastics.
I will get my girls nice innersprung mattresses but not until they are older. Lissy isnt wetting her bed anymore but id like to leave it a year i guess, just to be safe.

We got Brae's single bed from Farmers it was $700.00. Sleepyhead posturepedic Maybe a little bit expensive, but should last 12yrs or so. And you do spend a fair about of time sleeping
We also got a bed-barrier thingy to stop him falling out lol for about $80 from the baby factory.

we got Cailin one of those funky kids beds from bedpost, (pink of course) it was $700. The base is totally innersprung as well so you can pull the mattress off and then you have two beds.
It is really really soft and to begin with because it was so soft Cailin would roll off it as the sides would just give way, but now she has got the sleeping in a big bed, it is great.
Next time though, I think I will buy a slat bed with trundler. Not that I don't like this bed, but with a slat bed, you don't have the big base and the bed comes with headboard etc all attached

We got Nyah a king single (mattress & base) from "Living Edge" They are on the corner of Dominion and Balmoral Roads. They are actually a furniture hire place an occasionally they have really good sales. The furniture they have there is top quality. I was very impressed with the bed. We got her bed for $400, that's pretty cheap for a King Single.

We got Ella a single bed mattress and base from a shop called 'Rest' in Albany. It was on special for around $300 I think.
I figured it was worth getting her a brand new one as she'll be sleeping on it for at least 16 years or so!

I'm thinking about one of those bunks that can also be 2 singles - seems economical to me.

I am a bit worried about a bunk. I can just see McKayla climbing up on the top and falling down.
And I want to go through the whole buying process again for the next one.
Call me selfish.

we were going to buy haleigh the pink race car one cause she liked it hehe but we couldnt justify spending that sort of money when we only in the country another few months anyway. so we went the cheaper option . We love the fireengine one there to it was awesome.
Alot of bunks these days are ones you cna turn into 2 singles
My parents bought us bunks that turned into single when I was little and they were great, those tubular ones.

Maya's got a base + innersprung, I can't remember the name of the place I got it from but it was in Mt Roskill. I think I paid around $400 for it brand new.
The gremlins have cots that convert into toddler beds, and then one of them will have the brand new single bed thats sitting in the shed and I'll buy a second one. May even consider bunks, I haven't really thought about it.
We decided against one of the "themed" beds coz I was worried she'd outgrow it too fast.
