It cost us $130 today from 1/4 to fill ours and that will last about a week! I am so sick of these petrol increases!

My husband is a courier so our petrol bill is MASSIVE! He puts in about $100 every 3 days and then there is road charges on TOP of that and then there is my car on top of that again too! OUCH!

I think mine would cost around $100 to fill up.
I'm considering selling it and having no car... I've got to replace the seatbelt ($1200 retail) and a few other things which are worth more than the frigging car itself. Argh.

Oh no, the case for our seatbelt broke over the weekend and it better bloody not cost that much to fix!
Just filled mine up today and it was $73 with a 7 cents per litre saving (P&S).
That was from just under a quarter though, making it about $100 to fill.

Mine's about $120, I drive a Mazda 6 and put 96 in it. It lasts anywhere from a week to two weeks. Depends what errands and catching up we have to do as to how long it will last.
Our 4wd I'm not sure asDH is too lazy to stand there while it fills up but the prices have gone up 70% for diesel so I'm guessing it's around $150 now.

we have a nissan primera wagon and i fill it up every fortnight when DH gets paid. it usually takes $95-100 but that was when it was $1.86/ltr so i'm not looking forward to filling it tomorrow
i find myself staying home alot more and not going out just because i can. i also try to do everything i need to in the one day. i think i'll be looking into busing sometimes too
DH's car is a toyota corolla hatchback and he goes through $70-80/fortnight so i'm guessing that with the increases....we will be 'wasting' $200 a pay on petrol!!!!!
we've been talking about DH getting a small motorbike to get to work and back and selling the corolla...but will see how things go. can't really afford to buy one, but can't afford the petrol for the car so it's a catch22

My car costs about $90ish to fill which I do from about just under quarter, every three ish weeks? so about $100 odd to fill from empty. Its a 2.4l, and I find it not too bad on gas. Depends on if I have used the air con alot, too.
Dh has a falcon futura wagon for work, and he travels alot, so his costs about $150 a WEEK, and also on our fuel card is another work vehicle which is a diesel which costs about $70 to fill (a toyota noah) not mych cheaper than gas now. Hubby is looking at converting the falcon to LPG, which at $1.06 a litre is much cheaper.

We filled the car the other day. Wasnt totally on empty and took just under a $100. That can last anything from a week to three weeks. Grant uses a 125 CBR Honda to work and it is something like $12 to work per week and no parking.
I take the car to playcentre (that is literally up the road) twice a week. We walk during the summer. Then to swimming on Tuesday and that is like 6km there and then shopping on a Friday. Say another 6km there and then it is stuff over weekend. Visiting, touring, trips ect. So really does depend on where we go ect. I remember when we got here it was like 65 to 70 dollars to fill the car.

I have a Nissan Presage, I last filled it early last week before the latest price rises and it was just over the $100-mark, brought back to just under by the Countdown 4c off voucher. When I bought it in Aug '06 it used to cost $80 to fill. I always fill it tho, I can't be bothered with piddly little top ups coz it means I spend half my life at the gas station.
We use a lot of petrol. A tank probably lasts 10 days, and I can do 480km on a tank. It's a 16km round trip to Maya's school and we do that twice a day, plus I seem to have endless errands etc.and I refuse to let petrol costs stop me from visiting friends etc. (altho at $2 a litre I might have to start being a bit more reclusive!)
We don't walk anywhere except occasionally to the local dairy for milk etc. coz school, the supermarket, playgroup etc. are too far away. We could walk to Mainly Music but we usually just stop there on the way home from dropping Maya at school so it's not actually using any more petrol

Don't worry Kat - your seatbelt thing won't cost that much. Mine is just because it is a ridiculous Peugeot. The car is sh*t but everything costs a fortune!! I'm going to sell it as soon as I get a warrant.
Oh yeah, and I managed to get a seat belt from a wrecker for $170 so I feel a tad better now. Still, $170 for a tiny little nick int he seat belt. Unimpressed. (Mind you... if I crashed, that tiny little nick might cost me an awful lot more than money!)

Oooh yeah Nikki, European cars are so classy but soooo damn expensive to fix! I my lil VW and I was so sad when I had to sell it to make room for the gremlins, but my wallet is thankful.

Maybe when I'm rich. Or living in Europe. But my poor debt-ridden-just-out-of-uni ass still can't afford it.
But it's cute!!!

we have to have a 7 seater 4wd and it took today $116 that was for 62 litres! That should last for 2-3 weeks depending on what I get up to.
The other car a Legnum 1.8 goes through $40 per week on average.
It is getting sp expensive to live. I walk as much as I can already.

$120 For both our cars to fill!! A Subaru Legacy B4 and A Subaru legacy GT wagon both twin turbo so we fill with 98
A tank seems to last me 2 weeks and DP normally drives his company car which has free gas so thats a bonus! We are looking into a hybrid probably in 3 years if gas continues to rise.
Its a bugger because I have a lil 2001 Hyundai FX coupe which is only $74 to fill and lasts 3 weeks but we cant use it with Neosha BOOOO HOOO lol
