I never had much luck with it. Fairly basic I think. I still prefer PC-Cillan and never really felt safe with the free AV options. PC-Cillan is the only one i've tried that seems to pick up on Trojans.

AV means Anti Virus and AVG is a particular program that you can download. Not too sure what site it's on though as i've never gone looking. Google "Free Anti Virus" and it should come up with a few options.

Unless someone else knows where to look?

I use AVG and think its fantastic. I used to build PCs for a job and our shop recommended it for a free alternative.

We use AVG and it's great. I'd recommend it. We used McAfee years ago and weren't impressed.

We use AVG at home too. I also work in IT and find that the virus definitions are usually as up to date as the commercial ones.
