I'm really interested in getting my colours done but OMG it costs like $200 for it! I know it would be worthwile but we just don't have that sort of money. Google isn't being my friend and showing me anywhere online that has an article on how to tell your colours (yes, I'm cheap and want to do it myself). I already know I'm a warm tone but that's all. Have no idea what season I am.

Any help would be appreciated! Want to get it sorted before I start getting new clothes etc. TIA

How did you figure out that you're a warm tone? I don't really pay much attention to what I wear, and I'm lazy and usually just stick with black

Cool thanks, I spent ages googling but didn't look at that site! It has some different info to another site though, so now I'm confused!

I read somewhere that if you have a yellowy or red base to your complexion (ie, a biege/olive tone like mine) your a warm. I still want to know what the seasons are all about etc though. I know someone that got it done and she looked fab afterwards.

I've never been incredibly fussed but now I'm really trying to look my best for some reason. I think cos I want to lose the baby weight etc (6kg to go) and I'm starting to redo my whole wardrobe. I figure I might as well buy the most flattering colours if I can!

I found out that I suit cooler tones, ie I suit white better than ivory found that out when i went wedding dress shopping.
I have olive skin tones and tan well in summer.

I also suit pink and black but not browns.

I remember people getting their colours done years ago, and I think I was mostly winter. Definately not autumn.

i got my colours done, and im a spring...the easiest way is to tell what you are is to sit in front of a mirror, and wrap a white towel or sheet around your neck and clothes, and then hold up different colours to your body...they will either wash you out or they wont.

oh and just because one shade of red doesnt suit you doesnt mean another wont (ie, being a redhead i thought i couldnt wear red, but if it has a yellow undertone to it i cant, but if it had a blue undertone to it i can).

Yeap that one is hard to explain, it would pay to just have lots of different colours to try, and good luck

I had mine done years ago and I'm an autumn. I suit browns and warm reds etc....autumny colours. Can't remember much of the info though, sorry. It was really interesting but I found I already gravitated naturally to the colours I suited anyway!

Yeah, I think I would be "cool" and I tend to go for black, (darkish) purple, white anyway. I would hazard a guess that I'm winter, as it just makes sense. Pale complexion, blonde hair, blue eyes, but then I don't know. Possibly spring?

I suit ivory as opposed to white too. I reckon I suit mostly darker reds, black, darker greens and browns. So would I be a winter? I find it all very interesting!

I had mine done when I was 16 and I was a Spring - I have a yellowy undertone rather than a pinky one if that makes any sense. Basically the only green that suits me is 'kermit the frog'
