a 1 month old to sleep 10hrs?
James had his feed at 5pm then bath at 530pm then went to bed just after Haleigh at 6pm and didnt wake up till 4am.
Is that alright? He's on formula.
Haleigh didnt sleep like that till she was 3months so was kinda shocked when he did it, but then again Haleigh was on EBM till 6wks.
The only change I made was his bathtime being later, maybe that made him sleep so long??

I honestly have no idea but if he seems happy enough then I guess it's fine. Sam slept for 10 hours one time at about 6 weeks old and the other day he slept for 11 hours, but he consistently does at least 8 each night. Maybe James just loves to sleep?

Monique, what a clever bubba he is. I'm sure it's fine. Samantha started doing it around the same age, but not every night and she is on breast milk! The first time I woke up and stressed as well, I remember wondering if she was still breathing it was so quiet in her room. Thank goodness for sound & movement monitors :)
I would just count your blessings (hope you got a good nights sleep) and hope he does a repeat performance again tonight

Its fine, Josh did long periods of sleep at night from an early age.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

As long as he is getting enough to drink during the day, its fine. If he was starving he would wake up! Long may it continue

I think it's fine too, especially if he's already done 8hrs before. The only concern a mw/plunket nurse would usually have about that is if the baby is not gaining weight - and then the problem would be sleeping (ie not feeding) for long periods fairly often.

Wonderful work James. What a star for your Mummy There is no problem sleeping lots. It helps you grow.

Brae did long sleep stretches from round this age. Man it sure freaked me out the first time- waking the next morning & realising I didnt have to get up to feed during the night Hope Kalyx follows suit soon

What an awesome little fellq! Monique - he might be doing it younger because he was such a big strong fella to begin with - so he already can get a decent amount into him to tide him over longer or something!

I was going to say the same thing as Teresa too, as long as his weight gain is fine let the boy sleep! And let his Mummy sleep too!

I know he's getting enough in the day he's having at least 5 or 6 150ml bottles a day.
he's gettig weighed again tomorrow but his last weigh in he had gained 400g in jsut under a week, so Im guessing he's still gaining well.
