Hi everyone,
I've been lurking awhile, but am the shy type...

Anyway, I've got a 4 month old and so need to start thinking about getting a high chair. We don't have vast amounts of space. Can anyone recommend a fairly compact (and ideally non-ugly!) high chair?

Also, our dishwasher is falling apart so need to get a new one. Im angling for a double dishdrawer but it is a bit more expensive than a regular one. Does anyone have one and can recommend?

TIA

Hi Potato.

Depending on how much room you have you can get seats that attach to your dining chairs or directly to your table so they take up very little room. I bought a normal fold down chair and have found it very bulky.

My BIL works for F&P and he told us whatever we do never buy the latest model of anything. Apparently they can only work out so many kinks in the factory, they improve each model during the first few years of actual use.

We have a dish draw and while it's great if you are happy to just do your plates, bowls etc it's not good for the bigger stuff like pots as they take up too much room. I used to put all the plates and pots etc in my old dishwasher but now I wash all the post separately as I don't want to run both draws. Thats just my opinion I know others love them.
Oh and if you can afford to get two separate TOP draws it's better as we hardly ever use our bottom draw Too Lazy

Baby Factory have what I think are non-ugly highchairs that completely fold in half (some of the more expensive ones are so bulky which is a PITA)

BTW, you should come and join us in the Dec or Jan forums depending on when bubs was born - we don't bite!

We have one that can just go on the dining chair, though I sit it on the floor, which means the food doesn't have as far to fall and splat . So I would reccomend them for sure.

Hi guys, thanks for your replies.

We have space for a freestanding one so will check out the ones at the Baby Factory. Any tips as to best features to look for?

I tend to handwash pots anyway so that's not really a biggie. I've just discovered the dishdrawer has a child lock feature so that will be my selling point! MrsMojo - i think we will get just the basic one which has been around for ages so any problems should have (hopefully!) been sorted out.

cheers xx
