Topic: ready to pull my hair out Posted: 21 November 2006 at 10:30am |
ok so im at my wits end....Rhiannon woke up every hour screaming last night...havent been able to put her down today so far and if i do she screams her head off ( she is sitting on my lap as we speak).
Her temp is normal its 36.8, she is drinking her bottles all be it not all of it...is not eating as much, and general is happy.
I have no idea what is wrong...maybe shes just full out teething or something...but it is driving me insane

Caitlin has days like that too. We just put it down to either a growth spurt or she's just having a clingy day.
The only thing I can suggest is maybe give her a nice warm bath and a massage and see if that settles enough to have a nap to give you a break?
Good luck I know how exhausting it can be
or just go with it and veg out on the couch all day and blame baby for not getting anything done

sounds like mikey when he's teething. he's a real rotter and like rhiannon, won't be put down and needs to be cuddled all the time, understandably of course because i imagine it's quite painful.
hope it's over soon and she goes back to normal, until then, good luck and if you can, call someone to come look after her for a little bit while you have a bit of you time.

you could still get her cheked out - some kids just don't get high temps until the very last minute. Paris usually gets them when she's really sick and not amoment before. if she's not wanting to eat or if she's not finishing her bottles it could be maybe a sore throat, blocked nose, sore ear or even just sore tummy etc.

Might pay to get her checked out, especially for ear infection or something.... then you at least know if it's medical or not. See if you can get an appointment with your doc this arvo.
Otherwise it could just be an unsettled day but since she wasn't sleeping last night either, it sounds more serious than that. Whatever the case, hopefully it passes really quickly because screaming gets on the nerves like nothing else!

Sounds like taine at the moment too. Lucky he's bald or I would've had to shave his head to check for an engraved 666 in his scalp!
For Taine I think it's teeth, cause he has a bit of a bum rash too. Rhiannon doesn't have a nappy rash?
