Topic: BABY FORMULA WARNING Posted: 16 July 2007 at 3:24pm |
Saw this article in the newspaper and thought I'd pass it on:
Parents warned over baby formulas
Monday, 16 July 2007
At a news conference today the authority said the products, Nutricia and Karicare gold plus, and the Karicare follow on formula, contain a substance they should not have.
The substance is an additive that could affect infant bowel movements.

Thats no good. Wouldn't it be taken off the shelves though? or are they referring to one batch.

Thanks heaps for posting those articles. Do you take it to mean only the gold follow on formula. We use just the normal Karikare follow on formula. I looked on the back and it doesn't seem to contain FOS so I guess should still be ok.
Is that how you would understand it?

Having read round the articles and statements I am taking it as that, it just seems that a couple of babies have had diarrhoea and just happend to have been on the formula. That's my take on it anyway. It's a personal thing but I am not concerned

I'm taking it exactly the same way. The Karicare Gold Plus is the only formula that doesn't bung Sam up, so I'm sticking with it.
