hmmmm you have me thinking now! Sounds like our house.....James has just started getting really spilly sometimes it looks curdled and he is unsettled between 12 and 4am. Is real hungry but sometimes wont feed well.
Also he seems to be in discomfort on his back but a little better on his side?? do you have this too?
Kell if he has reflux then at nights he'll be trying to cluster feed - as little babies should - but getting a sore tummy from being over-full. Then he'll want to settle his sore tummy by comfort feeding and of course make it worse If you think he has reflux, the key is to not over-fill his tummy cause that makes the symptoms worse.
It can be dependent on the socio-economics of the area, and something about the amount of subsidy a GP or their practice gets to cover the fees they charge - costs me $15 to take Erin to the GP. I guess it might seem like a lot, but I would rather take her than not, you know? Good luck sorting things out Renee !
Some practices charge up to $25 for children. They get government funding proportionate on the number of low income families that are enrolled with them, and extra funding for Maori/Pacific Island patients enrolled as well. So in a more 'affluent' area GP's get less funding than those in lower income aread and/or with a greater density of Maori/Polynesion people so need to charge an extra fee on top of the government subsised Well Child scheme in order to cover their costs.
