I'm just wondering how many blankets everyone uses for their baby during winter????

I have Gaby sleeping in a sleeping bag (from Farmers, with long sleeves), and I have flanalette (that's spelt very wrong!) sheets - and ONE blanket on top of her. She doesn't seem to be bothered during the night & never feels overly cold, but i'm worried that maybe she is, and I should be using more blankets???

Just go in early morning one day and feel the back of her neck. If it is too sweaty you should less coverings and just dress her warmly. If she cold then use more. If she feels nice and warm and no sweaty then just right. I use to only dress McKayla in a vest and leggins in her sleeping sack and that worked for her.

At the moment I am using just one blanket, Erin is also in a sleeping bag, and usually has at least two layers on. Am considering getting a small heater for her room now that it has started to get a fair bit chillier, or we might even splurge on a heat transfer system (we have a fireplace in the lounge).

thanks ladies! I have a little heater in Gabs room just to take the bite off. I think she's warm enough - but her hands! they are NEVER warm.

Check out the other thread too. Krystiana is dressed warmly, two blankets, but no heater. Her hands get cold mostly because she suckles them (wet) and then goes to sleep with them out of the blankets. Doesn't seem to bother her though.
