Topic: grrr Auckland Museum!!! Posted: 17 February 2008 at 7:31pm |
Well not the museum but the cafe...they don't have high chairs..you would think at a place like that where it's highly likely for children to go, they would have a flippin high chair or two...and the kitchen closed really early, all i wanted to do was treat my boy to some hot chips while i had a coffee but no "sorry kitchen closed" and my coffee was only luke warm...
ok rant over. Just had a really good day with Ethan didn't even take the push chair in he walked everywhere and he loved it, but didn't get to chill out afterwards..

How was the museum for him? Was thinking of taking DD there in a couple of weeks when we are up in Auckland. Did they have enough stuff to hold his interest in the kids area?
Stink about the no highchairs!

Sucky!
Mazzy - we could do the museum with you if you're brave enough to face the gremlins!

Ethan loved it, like i said I didn't take a push chair so he just wandered where ever he wanted to go, he was funny when something caught his eye he would just say "ohhhh' so loudly and high pitched then take off in that direction, he loved the wild child part with the tree house,
we actually didn't spend too much time in the kids area, but i thought it was awesome,
think it will definately be a regular trip for us over winter when the weather is cruddy.

Ooh! That would be fun! Although possibly dangerous - between the gremlins and my destructive-phase DD the museum may not still be standing when we leave!
We're still working out what our plan is, a friend of mine is going overseas and we're coming up for her farewell, but not sure when/how long we'll be there before and after that with DH's work at the moment. Will PM you with details, should know by the end of this week. Cool!

I used to volunteer at Auckland Museum, and the cafe is not actually run by the museum, it's run by an outside vendor who is contracted to use the space. When I was there it was BB's -- I'm not sure who it is now as it's been ages since I was last there. If you want to complain, contact them directly as they're not actually under the control of the museum.
