Are they safe to use? I never used one with Lycan and i was just wondering if many of you do....I'm looking at ways of making the cot softer and warmer for baby...i thought i could use a sheep skin underneath the mattress protector....Or is there another way that is better?

Lycan and Peyton = Moon and back!!

If you were to ask my Mum she would say they are perfectly safe, all 3 of us had one just under the sheet. Me, I was a bit too worried and decided not to use one for Jack. Not sure which one of us is right. I think maybe you just need to go with your gut

We used one. I'm sure you'll find lots of ppl who agree and disagree with them. I've got the basinette set up with one under a mattress protector, like you said

Both my boys have them and had them as a baby and they are totally fine.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I had one directly under me as a baby, not sure if that is something I would do.

In winter we put one under the matress protector for a short time.

If you have a history of allergies or asthma in your families I wouldn't but other then that go for it... we (my sisters and I) all had them and we're okay
