So suggestions about projects I can do on minimal (read: no) money would be great. Hopefully it'll be good for someone else too.

I don't start working more (only do 10 hours, which moves to 30+ soon) until the start of Feb when school starts back so I want to get something done. I'd love to get out in the garden but summer has disappeared on us.

So suggestions on what to do? DH says I'm not allowed to cut a whole in the wall or demolish the pantry like I want to (such a party pooper! )

You could scrapbook... I use stuff like old dividers for coloured card, wrapping paper for pretty things, etc. Or cut pictures out of littlies magazine and so on.

Learn to sew and make some pretty things for Ava with old clothes you don't fit.

I'm out of ideas

It involves some money, but money you'd spend later anyway - you could have a cooking day. Do batch after batch of stews / casseroles / mince / curry and bag and freeze them for days when you can't be bothered cooking.

Scrapbooking is a good idea and for no money you can do some digital scrapbooking.

Oh if only I had the time there are a thousand things I would do lol. On my list;

Sort out photo's into albumns (and get more printed) in the right order.

I am still in the process of making french memo boards but as I only work on them when the kids are asleep after my 101 chores they are still not finished but look something like thisthis - I bought fabric but you could use whatever you have, ribbon, buttons, and I am using off cuts of plywood as my backboard and hobbie-fill sheets of foam underneath - but those aren't necesary - I just like the slightly padded look. I am also doing one in an old picture frame.

I also have a couple pieces of furniture I have bought off trademe that I want to sand back and repaint with a distressed/white wash look. I think I will take time off work for those though!

You can make things like play dough which takes up a little time.

Also look on the Martha Stewart website for heaps of simple craft projects

I have been going through my cupboards, we have a ridiculous amount of storage in our house, which is a good & bad thing.

I have managed to throw a lot of junk out, plus I now have a whole box of things that I can use for craft projects etc. once DD is a little older. I have organised all my old recipe magazines into date order, plus found a few recipes to make as well.

Only costs a little money but you could plant vege seeds to be transplanted later into a vege garden. I just used old yoghurt pottles and some seed raising mix plus a few different types of seeds. Kept them watered and in a sunny place inside (where little hands could not get them) and now I have some great big vege producing plants in my vege garden.

I'm bored so I've been googling... lol

- make a family flag
- collect stuff for the poor
- make a doll
- make a meal plan
- decorate your mailbox
- clean out your inbox
- file all your documents, letters, etc.
- start a hobby
- get creative with old Christmas cards and make some new ones for next year with them
- meet up with a friend, take a thermos of coffee and have coffee somewhere, while you have time spare
- exercise
- make a keepsakes box for your kids
- go around the house and look for things you could put into a craft box for your kids, for later use
- do some internet research and make a list of games/things to do with your kids for those times that you draw a blank
- write some goals for yourself and the kids
- write a list of family traditions you want to keep going
- go through your magazines, clip out the articles you think are useful and want to keep, and make them into a book. Put the magazines into a craft box for the kids.
- google things that might enhance your life, eg. how to have a better marriage, fun things to do with your toddler, etc. and ACT on it.

OoOoO I have a few ideas - did some sewing last night so I just need to keep going! The house is a tip but that's not productive, as its just messy again in 10 mins thanks to my hurricane boys.
