Topic: Seriously... whats wrong with NZ?! Posted: 07 February 2008 at 8:29pm |
I'm getting so upset and angry at everything that's going on in our country, murders all the time, an axe-weilding psycho today, no public health system worth 2c... and now we can join the lucky queue of people p***ed off with being burgled.
I was out today for 2 hours at our first AN class coffee group, came home and some stupid kids (must've been kids cos they didn't take anything easily sold like GPS, iRiver, Laptop etc) had broken in and stolen about $2500 worth of jewellery and DH's Xbox stuff.
Gosh doesn't it make you proud to live in our fine country?! And here I was thinking Chch was a great place to bring up my kids

No... what happened? Nothing terrible near you guys I hope Dal?
It annoys me that our house insurance excess is $150 so its not worth claiming our window for (they jimmied it open with a screwdriver and broke the latch). But until tomorrow we can't fasten it so DH has tied some string around it or something. And now we have to put a new latch on our CC cos there's no money till payday... oh when it rains, it sure does pour

Emz, if you claim for your window at the same time as your jewellery & XBox you should only be charged one excess, usually the higher of either house or contents.
Claim for it, it's what you are paying your premiums for

Damn that sux Em you poor wee thing, its not fair is it.
Yeah the Main Road was blocked off and a street near us I normally go down it to get home and I couldnt because it was blocked off and the Armd defenders squad where there it was all very scary! Turns out that someone got arrested there for the gun fire shots or threatening to shoot or something the day before over in Linwood.
Now with whats going on at the aiport today its all a bit much - this years news so far have just been absolutly terrible!

NZ is a hole at the moment. That's how I feel about it anyway.
That's why I prefer to stay home on the weekends and enjoy myself and whatever company we have and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
Bring on the boot camps I say!!

Oh that is awful..You poor thing. That sucks. Make me really annoyed. I am getting sick of even turning the news on anymore. Its so depressing and yes totally agree ...very scary bringing children up in the Nutty place....
Just keep my fingers crossed that where I live keeps relatively "safe".

Any fingerprints by any chance?
If it makes you feel any better DH scared the living crap out of me last night in the dark. Gave me such a fright I cried. Thankfully my undies managed to stay clean.
Probably doesn't help but feel free to laugh at me.

Oh dear that sucks.
But I do think it is just reported more. I don't think society is getting worse.
