We got this from consumer today so thought I'd post it for those of you whose little girls have polly pocket.

Polly Pocket Magnetic Play Sets

The problem
Tiny magnets inside the dolls and accessories can fall out and if more than one is swallowed or aspirated by young children can attract each other and cause serious injury.

Details
Polly Pocket Magnetic Play Sets.

Plastic dolls and accessories that have small magnets, approximately 3mm in diameter, embedded in the hands and feet of some of the dolls and accessories.

The affected models are:

Polly Pocket! Polly Place Hangin'- Out House (model B2632)
Polly Pocket! Polly Place Treetop Clubhouse (model B3158)
Polly Pocket! Spa Day (model B3201)
Polly Pocket! Totally Tiki Diner (model B7118)
Polly Pocket! Quik-Clik Boutique (model G8605)
Polly Pocket! Quik.Clik Shops (model 68606)
Polly Pocket! Quik-Clik City Pretty Playset (model H1537)
Polly Pocket! Quik-Clik Sporty Style Playset (model H1538)
Polly Pocket! Totally Zen Playset (model H3211)
Manufactured between 2003 and April 2005. The model number is printed on the bottom of the largest pieces.

What to do
Do not return the toys to retail stores.

Remove the toys from children and contact Mattel (NZ) Ltd on 0800 174 063, Monday to Friday 10am-6.30pm, to confirm you have one of the affected products, and arrange return and a replacement.

Scary!! I must admit, I'm kind of wondering how well these things are tested before being put out on the market?

lol, paris has the quik click boutique - same model number. .. am wondering what to do.. she would be devastated to have it taken away.. i wonder what the replacement would be..one the same without magnets? that would defeat the purpose a little. she doesn't use the magnet stuff anyway - too damn fidly to use and hard enough for me to get it to work.. am wonderinghow they found out about this happening... obviously some child decided to eat some magnets..
