Topic: bad few days.. Posted: 19 February 2007 at 9:06pm |
I have had the worst last week or so. I have been so miserable, especially the last couple days.
I feel so bad. I lie there some nights thinking "what the hell am i doing? can i really do this? should i really do this?" Then i HATE myself for it in the morning.
Doesnt help that i have been talking to the ex and the last time we talked he was horrible. Im not speaking to him anymore though.
Ive just felt so depressed and alone. Only thing that helps is talking to my mum and aunty on the phone. What makes it worse is they are in England.
Ugh, i just had to get this out. I mean i have my better days, but some times it seems all too much.
Being sick and tired all the time really doenst help either, lol.
*sighs*

i think ive missed yur story but am guessing that the gist of this is you are having bubs on yur own and have little family support here?
Perhaps look into counselling - your doctor can refer you, and make sure you are setting up some support systems here - be it friends, organisations, etc....to help you when you feel like this. Its normal to question pregnancy and the resulting baby....but make sure youre not just internalising and that you get some of your frustrations out...
oh yeah and feel free to talk to us all anytime too!

are there any oh baby ladies in your area? maybe arrange a get together or something.
I second the councelling, not to put you off or anything but chances are its going to get harder so now is a good time to put those sort of support networks in place. Do you have any family or friends near by who will be around once bubs is here?

It is a sucky feeling, I remember doing exactly the same thing during my pregnancy. I think most people go through similar thoughts and feelings, wondering whether we will be able to cope with the baby and all the changes it will bring, and freaking out about all the unknowns. Being sick and tired definitely doesn't help either. I hope it is some comfort to know you are absolutely not alone in how you are feeling, and we are all here to listen any time you need to talk.
It can be hard, but have faith that what you are feeling now will be eclipsed by all the love and joy your baby will bring into your life. They really do make it all worthwhile!

Thanks everyone.
I think its the fact that im going through a break up as well as everything else. Ive never been any good with break ups and its really hard.
I am feeling better today though.
I have heaps of support from family and friends. My sister is actually coming to stay with me today and the only reason im alone is that my sister and law and brother are in Thailand till the end of the month.
I dont really have anyone else here and i cant go anywhere as my car is broken! lol. my luck is amazing haha.
I think i just need to forget about the ex nd move on and think about my future with my baby. Because i really am excited about him/her.
Again thanks everyone for the advice etc. it really helps.

I agree, the ladies on here are awesome! I've made some really good friends (and not just from Auckland) who were all due at the same time as me and we have lunch dates etc and email chats all the time. It was especially helpful when I was PG, I was forever emailing Jax asking her if she was feeling this way or getting these niggles LOL
