The ACC assessor finally came today and I got such a surprise. Our home help is going from 8 hours a day down to 1 1/2 (nearly would have been 1 but I didn't think that was enough). What a shock! This is more what I was expecting except for the telephone discussion I had last week (which I put on here).
So now I have to wean the girls off Lorna, I think it's going to be hard as they have formed something of a grandmother relationship with her.
Wow that is a big reduction. I can remember what it was like for me when mum had the home help. The lady we had was just like a second mum (almost grandmother) as she was at our place when we woke up and was there until we went to bed that night.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
wow that is a huge jump down in hours you think they would have gone to half time for a week then down to that time!!!! Good luck with the weaning hehe!
i remember the home help lady we had when my mum had major knee surgery from netball injury bak in hmmmmm the 80's hehe, she made the best choc crackle thingys and fudge slice YUMMMMM (haha the things a child remembers from home help ladies hehehe).
Hehe Peace well my tummy is getting a little bigger but I suspect that's all the sitting down and eating
We got things straightened out from when she was doing things all wrong, and I got used to her being in my personal space (it's been a month now!). But a lot of what I was struggling with was my "new" identity with the kids. I've come to be able to "accept" her being around now, that's for sure.
Here's a pic I took of her and the girls yesterday (I'm going to use it to make her a thank you/goodbye card in 4 more weeks' time but she doesn't know that)
LOL I think the doll actually is part of Briona's arm That photo was taken 1/2hr before Briona went to bed, she's looking a bit tired and sucking her tongue (doubled up).
