I want to surprise my DH with a decent (better than I can do!) massage.
He's been really stressed with too much work and is constantly tense and sore.
Can anyone recommend a good place thats not too expensive, preferably on the shore or in central city?

Hi caraMel, I am a massage therapist (out West though). In Takapuna there is a place called Just Massage that is good, although not sure if it is too expensive for you, probably about $70 for an hour which is about average.
A friend of mine will do an onsite massage at your home for that price if you are interested pm me and I will give you her details.

I'm also a massage therapist - way down south in North Canterbury though - Massage New Zealand has a website which you can search for therapists:

I've heard good things about Bliss Reflexology that has recently opened in Takapuna. Apparently their massages are amazing.

Gosh, I had an awful massage experience at Bliss in Takapuna! It was the most agonising thing I had experienced for quite a while and I like really firm massage ...

I sent him for one a couple of years ago that he found incredibly painful, and he likes a firm massage too. Maybe I'll avoid Bliss then

I do know people who have had good experiences at Bliss, just not the Takapuna one cos there is one is the City and Newmarket as well.
