Any Mums out there with thyroid problems?

We have a history of thyroid problems in our family & I think over the last couple of days I've been having issues. I've had blood tests today & am seeing the Dr Monday.

I'm breastfeeding so am concerned if I have to take anything that it will be passed through.

Can I have your experiences?

I used to take Kelp tablets relatively regularly so have taken one tonight. I have been advised that it shouldn't pass through & if it does' it won't do any harm to bub.

Feel really out of sorts here
Kel

I too have a strong family history of thyroid issues. Since i had DS last year, it has been quite an issue for me, but it has fluctuated between being high and low. Because of this, my GP and specialist arent ready to diagnose, which means no medication at the moment. Depending on your results, it may be a similar case for you? I have blood tests every 2 weeks to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesnt get too bad.

Other than that, I just wanted to give you big hugs (and you too BaAsKa) as I know how crappy it can be!!!

Felt a truckload better this morning after taking a kelp tablet last night.

Ph'd and found out I have low potassium which is what is giving me the cardiac arrhythmia...so off to get suppliments.

Oh the joys of life!
