    Posted: 28 November 2008 at 11:29am

Christmas is tight this year and so we've decided to make our own gifts.  I have found a pattern for making slippers which I thought I'd share as I'm sure the bank balance is tight for many of you too.

How to make bedroom slippers:

You need 4 maxi pads to make a pair.  Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.  The other 2 wrap around the toe area to form the top.  Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.  Decorate the tops with whatever you desire.

These slippers are:

  • soft
  • hygeinic
  • non-slip grip on the soles
  • built in deodarant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
  • no more bending over if you need to mop up spills
  • disposable and biodegradable
  • environmentally safe
  • 3 convenient sizes (light, regular and get out the sand bags)

I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see these nifty slippers for yourselves.

LOL! I'm such a fool - when I first read that, I thought at first glance you were serious. I was thinking 'Oh. My. Goodness. What's this lady on??'. Then I laughed
