I've been to samoa and loved it - but didn't have kids. My friend went to Samoa and Fiji with kids and she said the Fijians were fantastic with kids and babysitting whereas the Samoan's weren't so much. They loved Samoa the most though and were considering having their wedding there but child-wise they found it easier on Fiji.

Kinda sounds like Samoa is out at the moment anyway. Good point about the weather than jano mentioned as rain on the islands can be a pain. We went in February to Samoa and it rained most days but only for a tiny little bit and then the sun came out so wasn't a biggie, but would have been stink if it had rained all the time.

I got married in Fiji at the beginning of last September and the weather was awesome the whole week we were there. 30 degrees everyday. I do fancy going somewhere where I don't have to travel too far to a decent beach which is the prob with Fiji and all the cheaper return flights are early in the morning which is a bit sucky.

I have been an tripadvisor.com and there is some really helpful feedback on there.
