Madison has been using the 0-3 month dummys now since she was a week old. She will not take any other brand of dummy or the 3-6 month old avent ones. the problem is she is geting a rash around her mouth and i think it is because they are to small for her now have any of you had this problem? any ideas on how to get her to take a biger one?
Ella had the Avent ones when she was little. I had trouble switching her between sizes too. I'd always throw the little ones away when I upgraded, so she had no choice about taking it! I found that if I just kept popping the new one in she'd eventually give it a good try and take to it.
For the rash, try some aqueous cream around her mouth before dummy goes in, it cleared up Ella's dummy rash really quick.
I have had no trouble with Mikey, but Alan was very fussy would not take any other I think if you do what Mel did not give her a choice she will aventually take it.
Lycan started on the 3-6month size because his dad got him that one...not realizing that there were different sizes, so when i tried to give him the smaller size he just spat it out so i ended up keeping him on the big one....I agree with the Mel dont give her a choice she will eventually take it....Good luck
I bought Mercedes a silicone Tommee Tippee newborn dummy but she will only take the silly rubber one they gave her at the hospital , funny baby.

We've not had any issues with rashes at all but Caitlin will only take Avent dummies. Tried her on a pretty pink one with a kitten on it from Infanti and she just kept spitting it out (I was going to save it for when I want to wean her off the dummy, but now she has discovered that her thumb is even better than any dummy! )
