Cough Syrup Help Please

This is probably not worth a thread of its own but...

I had a cold a week ago and feel fine now but I have the most annoying cough. It is a dry tickle and is really bad at night. Literally everytime I breathe in I cough and hence I've been awake almost all night for the past couple of nights and am shattered.

The pharmacist recommended 'Pharmacy Health' Dry Tickly Cough Mixture but its not doing a thing. Robitussin isn't helping either.

Can anyone recommend anything?

I have sore abs from coughing so much and would like to get some sleep tonight (and I'm sure DH would like some to!)

Thanks Stacey. It's so annoying when you buy something and doesn't work, esp when on a budget
